His father, Charles Gilbert Jr, preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memory, loving mother, Bertha L. Brown Gilbert, brothers, Charles N. Gilbert (Penny R.), Ronald L. Gilbert, sisters, Lisa R. Gilbert- Weathers and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
His visitation will take place on Saturday, August 30, 2014, 10am- 12pm, with the Homegoing Celebration commencing at 12pm. His burial will take place in Crown Hill Cemetery.
