Esther Carr

Esther Carr was born April 5, 1922, in Waverly, Tennessee. Esther later moved to Indianapolis, Indiana at the age of fifteen. She attended Crispus Attucks High School. She later gave birth to three children, the late Bobby Lomax Jr., Gail Lynn Lomax, and Gerald Lomax.

Esther worked for Mechanics Laundry and had a part time job cleaning office. She worked until she was 75 years of age. Esther had many friends and traveled the world. She went to Hawaii and Spain, just to name a couple of places. She attended the AME St. John Church.

Esther Carr, age 99, of Zionsville, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022.

Esther left behind her grandson Bobby Lomax Jr.; granddaughters Nakiea Lomax, Nakiya Lomax, and Mariah Lomax; niece Sandra Jenkins; nephews Juney and Eric.

A visitation for Esther will be held Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208, followed by a celebration of life at 11:00 AM.
