Esther M. Clements

Esther May Clements of Speedway, Indiana, passed away May 19, at 11PM. She was born on September 4, 1935, to the late George E. Betz and Annabelle L. Leach Betz in Bluffton IN. She married the late Shirl D. Clements on August 29, 1954, in Bluffton IN.

Esther was a member of VFW Aux., in Huntington, Indiana. She worked 18 years in Huntington School Cafeteria before retiring in 2005.

Esther is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters: Edward Betz, Pete Betz, Mary Ann Betz, Helen Gentis, and Blach Willett.

She is survived by daughters Debra Wilcox (Scott) Meza, AZ, Tonya Burroughs (Andrew) Indianapolis, IN, and Tracey Wiley (Edmund) Indianapolis, IN. Five grandchildren: Amanda Hoyle, Grayson Burroughs, Skylar Comito, Chris Wilcox, Parker Wilcox. Great-grandchildren: Kendall Hoyle, Kori Hoyle, Carmeron Hoyle, and Kris Wilcox, Ashton Comito. Surviving brothers and sisters: Jim Betz, Bluffton IN, Joseph Betz, Decatur IN, Bob Betz, Indianapolis IN, Laura Zent, Huntington, IN, Wilma O’Hein, Bluffton IN, Susie Johnson, Bluffton IN, and Linda Stinson, Bluffton IN.

A visitation for Esther will be held Friday, May 30, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 W. 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208, followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM.
