Obituary of Ethel Lee Mills
Ethel Lee Mills was born on September 5, 1941, in Talladega, Alabama. She was one of twelve children to Gilbert and Rosie Story. Ethel moved to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1961. Ethel united in holy matrimony in 1969 to her late husband Elder Roger B. Mills. From this union, they had 4 children. Ethel Mills worked at Sam’s Subway. Then in 1966, Ethel worked at RCA Record Company where she retired in 2005. Ethel’s hobbies include going to church, cooking, shopping, and taking care of others. Ethel received the Holy Ghost under the leadership of the late Elder Rodger Tobey at Bethany Temple Apostolic Church. In 1998 she moved her membership to Christ Church Apostolic Church under the late Bishop James E. Tyson. After her husband passed, she became a member of Zion Tabernacle Apostolic under Suffragan Bishop Dr. Thomas E. Griffith. On May 7, 2024, Ethel Mills departed this life and went to be with her heavenly father. Ethel was preceded in death by her father and mother (Gilbert and Rosie Story), husband (Elder Roger Mills), sister (Ivera Turner), two sons (Bruce and O’Brien Mills), and grandson (Anthony Tinnin). Ethel leaves to cherish her memories to her daughter, Felecia (Terry) Coleman; son, Cory Mills; four grandchildren, Terry Coleman Jr, Telecia (David) Johnson, Courtney Matheny, Siyere Mills; six great grandchildren, Harlow Coleman, Summer Coleman, Anthony Tinnin, Jr., Ashton Tinnin, Amoure Tinnin, Christian Johnson; ten siblings, Lila Carter, Gilbert Story, Ella (Raymond) Parker, Robert (Lisa) Story, Roger Story, Larry (Linda) Story, Nathaniel (Cecelia) Story, Geraldine (Bernerad) Howard, Juanita (Zanus) English, Deloris (Ervin) Barclay. Host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. A visitation for Ethel will be held Friday, May 17, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Zion Tabernacle Apostolic Church, 4007 N Sherman Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46226, Indianapolis, IN 46226, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM.
