Evelyn Jean Blake

Evelyn married George E. Blake in 1949 and to this short-lived union, three Children were born Gregory, Debra & Karen.

Evelyn moved to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1957 where she raised her 3 children. She worked at United States Post Office from 1962 and retired in 1992.

Evelyn received her High School G.E.D in 2001 which she was extremely proud of this achievement.

Evelyn joined United University Methodist Church in 1958. She served as President of United Methodist Women 1982-1986. She also served as Chairperson of the Pastor Parish Relations Committee. She loved her church family and enjoyed serving her church.

Evelyn leaves to mourn: her daughters Debra M. Seay and Karen Blake Grundy; daughter in-law Nanette Blake; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Jesse and Nathaniel Moore; of Kansas City, KS ; Sister-in law Carrie Moore of Kansas City, KS; Sister, Katherine Golden; a hot of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
