Frances S. Greenawalt

Frances S. Greenawalt, age 96, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023. She was born October 31st, 1926 to parents, Ben Henry Schroeder and Martha Cornelia (Niese) Schroeder in Leipsic, Ohio.

Frances is preceded in death by her parents, Ben Henry Schroeder and Martha Cornelia Schroeder; her husband, Richard Lee Greenawalt; children Thomas Lee Greenawalt, Elaine Marie Greenawalt, and Douglas Lee Greenawalt. Frances is survived by her children, Mary Kay Greenawalt, Martin Joseph Greenawalt (d. Jane E. Panther), and Kristin Ann Greenawalt.

Frances loved to walk and wore out a couple of treadmills. She walked the grounds of Envive (at that time, St. Paul Hermitage) extensively. She loved the Church and prayer and was faithful to daily Mass and the Rosary.

A memorial visitation will be held on October 31st, 2023 at Envive Healthcare of Beech Grove, 501 N. 17th Ave., Beech Grove, IN 46107 from 10 AM to 11 AM. A memorial Mass will follow at 11 AM. Frances will be placed to rest at Oaklawn Cemetery, 9700 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46250 following services.
