

The family moved to Rushville, In-diana where he graduated from Rushville High School in 1956. He was a member of 2nd Baptist Church in 1956 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served honorably until 1959. He began work at Eli Lily Pharmaceuticals in Green-field, Indiana and then finished his 35-year career from the Indianapolis plant. Ralph retired at the age of 55 years and participated in several bowling and golfing leagues.
Ralph loved to golf, travel, and fishing as well. Ralph loved giving gift cards to his family birthdays and Christmas was his specialty. He was also a member of the American Legion 249. Ralph BKA Spider was a very well-respected man who loved life, his family, and his friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Franklyn R. King Sr., (father), Julia Josephine King (mother), Charles Craig (stepfather), Charlene Wilson (sister), Jeanette Craig (sister), and Johnnie Mae King (ex-wife).
Survived by three children: Quintin Collins (Thelma), Rebecca King Smith, Tina King-Pemberton, seven grandchildren: Ashley Collins, Diamond Asabi (Moshe), Adrian Collins, Aaron Collins, Jessica Smith, David McClendon Jr., and Dior Pemberton. Four great grandchildren: Lyric Asabi, Gabrielle Asabi, Yazmine, and Tamika and a host of other relatives and friends.
