He was born in Gadsden, Alabama, on January 21, 1953, to Oscar and Bertha Reeves. He was united in marriage to Janice Reeves on August 1, 2007.
Gary proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Survivors include his two daughters, Gabrielle (Dan) Johnson of New Whiteland, Indiana, Angela (Nathan) Calhoun of Franklin, Indiana; two grandchildren, Hannah (Caleb) VanMeter and Cameron Johnson.
He was preceded in passing by his wife, Janice; his parents and siblings.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 22,2023 in the Remembrance Hall at Crown Hill Mortuary in Indianapolis, Indiana. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the hour of service.
