I don't remember exactly what year it was but I will always remember how special it was. Don't know the occasion, but there was a round of golf at Miracle Hills that had me, cousin Mike, Uncle Mike and Uncle Jerry in the foursome and with Grandpa Dugan riding along in a cart. Safe to say with that foursome I was very nervous since I am not the best golfer and it was the first time I ever played with Uncle Jerry and Grandpa Dugan was along for the ride which made me even more nervous. Since it was the first time with Uncle Jerry I was looking forward to seeing how good a golfer he was after hearing about how good he was. I just remember not being blown away that he hit the ball far and never did anything that blew me away. But at the end of the round he ended up shooting a 74 which made me a believer. I ended shooting an 84 which for me is extremely good, Grandpa D even agreed. I will always remember that round because of who was all there and just how fun it was.

Jerry was one of the founders of our Saturday and Sunday golf group at Stony Creek. He was the best playing partner a guy could ask to have. Talented, fun loving and a stickler for integrity of the game. Jerry had many stories to share. We at Stony have missed having him around. Hopefully he can hook up with Don, Tyler, and Mike Droese at the big course in the sky. Miss you Jer.

Jerry was not only a Golf 🏌️ Pro, he was a Life Pro. He always had a sparkle in his eye and a kind thing to say. He left behind a beautiful family. Way to go, Jerry! I’ll miss you!
