Mrs.Gladys Dowdell 77 of Indianapolis, passed away Wed. Jan. 9, 2013. She was a Bus Driver for IPS for 18 years before her retirement in 1992. She was a member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Shirley J. Dowdell Thurman and four brothers and one sister, Gladys leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Reverend Ronald Dowdell,Sr. (Hattie); Joe N. Dowdell, Sr.(Lucinda); Andrew L. Dowdell and Bryan Dowdell, sister Fannie Smith of Apple Vally, CA., 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be held Mon. Jan. 14, 2013 11:00 a.m. at Tabernacle
Missionary Baptist Church, 3101 E. 30th. St. with calling from 10:00 a.m. to Service with burial in New Crown Cemetery.Arrangements entrusted to Williams & Bluitt Funeral Home, 5252 East 38th. Street.
