

Born in Detroit, MI to Arnold and Mary Wessels, Glenn was a graduate of Michigan State University in 1966. After college he excelled in a career as a Sales Engineer in the Electrical industry for corporations like Eaton, Westinghouse and Cutler-Hammer before he retired.
Glenn married Carol Jean Kelly Wessels in 1969 and the two of them created a beautiful life together. They raised two sons who survive them: Brian Wessels (Rhonda) of Rohnert Park, CA and Marc Wessels (Tari) of Fishers, IN.
Survivors also include Glenn’s sister, Claudia Bernard (Ron) of Bradenton, FL; his granddaughters Amanda Wessels, Allison Wessels, and Madison Hamblen (Joe) from Indianapolis; a grandson, Brandon Wessels from Rohnert Park, CA; six great grandchildren: Caiden Wessels, Emerson Schutte, Sawyer Schutte, Carter Bordner, Evan Proctor, and Liam Hamblen all from Indianapolis, IN; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Mary Wessels; his siblings Richard Wessels and Naomi Kline; his wife, Carol Kelly Wessels; and a grandson, Patrick Wessels.
Glenn will be remembered most for his wit, humor, and charisma. He never met a stranger, was admired by all, and was an incredibly loving husband, father, Papa and friend. It was an honor to love him and be loved by him.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm, Friday, June 5, 2026 at Crown Hill Funeral Home. Burial and reception to follow.
