

74, of Indianapolis, died peacefully on June 13, 2011, surrounded by her loving husband and family. She was born in Indianapolis on May 20, 1937, to Catherine and Truman Rembusch.
She attended St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School, Ladywood High School and St. Mary’s College at Notre Dame, where she earned her BS degree. Later, she earned her Masters of Education at IUPUI.
Gracie was very active with The Children’s Museum Guild where she served as Associate Representative to the Children’s Museum Board. In 1975, she earned the coveted Spooner Award in honor of her time, dedication and commitment to the Guild. She had a great passion for the “Haunted House” and took tremendous pride in being the scariest witch year to year.
Gracie loved Christ the King Parish and participated in numerous activities including Eucharistic Minister, the RCIA Program, supporting work of the sacristy and was the author of the “Ask Gracie” column in the “King’s Crier”.
Gracie shared a love of athletics with her husband and children. She coached softball and kickball at Christ the King and Tabernacle Presbyterian Church. She was an avid supporter of the Bishop Chatard football program, coordinating all details of the team Mass prior to the games.
Gracie is survived by her husband of 50 years, Joseph G. Bill, Jr., children: Joseph J. Molly Bill Rondeau (Bob), Jude E. (Colleen C.), Brian J. (Carla), Glenn J. (Colleen E.) Bill; grandchildren: Jordan J. Stair (Christine), Brittany M. Bill, Lorrin D. Rondeau, Anthony G., Martha C., Alex G., Maggie A., Christopher G., Jude A. and Angelina E. Bill. She is also survived by her great-grand child, Joseph G. Stair and brothers Mike and Pat Rembusch.
Gracie is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Mary Cay Johnson and brothers Truman, Rick and Kevin Rembusch and beloved granddaughter, Jessie L. Stair.
In honor of Gracie, there will be a visitation on Monday, June 20, 2011, from 9:00 – 11:00 am at Christ the King Church, immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Gracie will then be laid to rest at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Christ the King Catholic Church, Bishop Chatard High School Chapel Fund and The Children’s Museum.
