Grady Gilkey III, 47, Indianapolis, passed away on July 14, 2014. He was a member of Bahai Faith (Springfield, Il). He was a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. He was an 1985 graduate of Bishop Chatard High School and also attended St. Andrew Catholic School. He was a graduate in 1989 of McMurray College (Jacksonville, ILL), and was a member of it's Alumni Association.
His father,Grady Gilkey Jr, preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memory, loving mother, Sandra Valsa Gilkey- Reid, brother, Layman B. Reid (Annie), sister, Gabrielle Edwards (Carmen), nephew, Jamal R. Edwards, niece, Carmen Mikayla, aunt, Eleanor R. Elkins, special aunt, Judi D. Trabue (Roderic), and a host of extended uncles, cousins, family and friends.
His visitation will take place on Friday, July 18, 2014, 5pm- 8pm. Another visitation will take place on Saturday, July 19, 2014, 12pm- 1pm, with the Homegoing Celebration commencing at 1pm at Tabernacle Presbyterian Church. His burial will take place in Crown Hill Cemetery.
