I was one of Gretchen’s pharmacists at CVS in Avon. She was always one of my favorite regulars & I will really miss talking with her. Such a kind soul- always ready to listen & care for people regardless of her own difficulties. The last time I saw her we told each other we loved each other & I’m so glad I had the opportunity for that to be my last conversation with her! Please know I am thinking of you in your loss. 

Randy, we are so very sorry to hear of Gretchen’s passing.  Scott and I just drove through part of her old neighborhood this evening and I said that I wondered how you both were doing. When we got home literally a few minutes later, Phyllis said Kelly Ray had just learned and told her of Gretchen’s passing. 

We are thinking of you and have you in our prayers. We so enjoyed our annual trips to Gray’s for Christmas with dear Aunt Ariel and the Green Clan!

I remember lots of laughter, music, walking to and from school, sleep overs in her basement and out in the screened in porch.  And of course her beautiful freckles. She will always be part of my childhood memories.  So sorry to hear of her passing.  Rest In Peace, Gretchen.

Kick the can... flashlight tag... riding bikes... sitting and talking. So many fond memories of my childhood with Gretchen and Randy. It feels as though a part of my youth is gone.  Rest well, my childhood friend.

Gretchen was a best friend when I was in middle school.  She introduced me to Elton John crocodile rock.  She was so kind and generous and taught me about honesty. I think of her often. She will be missed. Connie Albright. 

Randy I am so sorry to hear of Gretchen's passing. She called me earlier this year to let me know of her condition and I was so sad. She did tell me how much you have helped her and how grateful she was. 
Gretchen was my first friend when we moved to Speedway when i was 14 yrs old and she took me under her wing. Though our lives took different paths, Gretchen was always someone I could talk with after several years and we would just pick up like no time had passed. 
I have to say I was entirely impressed one time when she was having a difficult time herself and I was telling her how things were going with myself and my family and she held absolutely only good thoughts and happy for me and my good fortune. 
I will miss knowing she is here for me the next time I need to catch up and I'm so sorry that she experienced such challenges in her life. She was such a loving and caring person and I miss her already. 
I will try to come back and post a photo in the near future.


Gretchen was a good friend. She listened well and cared deeply about her friends and family. She was funny and kind. I'm so glad to have had her in my life! May her friends and family be comforted by their memories of her.

Thank you my friend for being a part of my journey. I know you are at peace now. Until we dance together again. Your love and friendship will always be cherished.
