

77, Indianapolis, passed away peacefully at his home on April 27, 2011. He was born in Orlinda, Tennessee to Maude & Joe Frank Denning. Hal retired as a Yardmaster from Conrail. He worked at the railroad for 38 years, starting as a clerk for the Pennsylvania Railroad. He was a member of Indian Creek Christian Church, Crystal Fountain Masonic Lodge, and Indianapolis Scottish Rite.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kay Little Denning. He is also survived by his sons and their wives, Joseph & Mary, Edward & Belinda Denning, his grandchildren, Olivia, Graham, Andrew and Hallie Denning, sister, Josephine Meador, brothers, Pete & Eugene Denning and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, David Allen Denning, brothers, Andrew, Russell, Jack & Fred Denning, sisters Mary Reed Fisher, Elizabeth Hendricks, and Martha DeFur.
Visitation will be on Friday, April 29, 2011 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 4901 E. Stop 11 Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46237. The funeral service will be on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Indian Creek Christian Church or the American Cancer Society.
