Hannah Elizabeth Calkins, 43, Brownsburg, Indiana, one of God’s most precious children, died Oct. 15, 2026. We miss her, but we know she is rejoicing in heaven in the arms of Jesus.
Hannah is survived by her parents Robert C. Calkins and Caryn Calkins, her sister Ann Abraham (David), her sister Jennifer Dickson (Tony), her brother Robert Craig Calkins II, her nephews and nieces and extended family.
Hannah was born three months early and has fought through significant health challenges throughout her life. She grew up on a farm in Fishers, Indiana. As a 10-year, Hamilton County 4-H member, she enjoyed raising goats and rabbits. Hannah loved playing the piano and organ and always looked forward to meeting people. After learning a person’s name, she never forgot it.
Hundreds of caregivers have supported and helped Hannah and her family as she repeatedly beat the odds thanks in large part to their generosity. Hannah was a beloved member of Second Reformed Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis; she loved Jesus and was a great prayer warrior. Many of Hannah’s caregivers continue to be faithful as family friends. Hannah touched the hearts of everyone she met, and in her last days of life she was surrounded by many people praying for her. Thank you to all who have helped in Hannah’s care over the years.
Visitation will be held at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, IN 46208, on November 7, 2026, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, with a funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Hamilton County 4-H Council in memory of Hannah Elizabeth Calkins.
