Harry Dee Laven, age 82, of Greenwood, Indiana passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022. Harry was born in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Dora (Elkins) Laven and John Laven. He served in the US Army during Vietnam and retired from the military after a 20 year career. During his career he helped organize and build a man made Carnival and rides on Okinawa and achieved the rank of Sgt First Class. After the service he became a registered nurse. As a young man he enjoyed traveling to Florida the adventurous way as a hitch hiker. He later enjoyed I-pad games, dining out, and traveling with his wife.
Harry is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Brown) Laven; children, Debra Laven, Rhonda Simpson (Robin); step children, Tricia Spoor-Moulder, Troy Spoor, and Adam Spoor (Lisa); grandchildren, Latisha Ann Marie, Travis, April, Robyn Ellen, Erica, Victoria, Katelyn, Andrew, Michael, and Zachary.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents and sons, Robert Laven and Harry Dee Laven Jr.
Visitation for Harry will be held Friday, December 9, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 4901 E Stop Eleven Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46237, followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM.
