He was a member of the UAW Local 933 and a Master Fisherman.
His father, Joe Murphy, mother, Essie Coggell Murphy, wife, Annie Murphy, daughter, LaWandra Murphy preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memory, sons, Harry Murphy Jr, Robert Lamont Murphy, brothers, Joe Murphy, Frank Murphy, Cleophus Murphy, sisters, Mae Gradys Tinnon , Memphis, TN, Lillie Mae Ward, Memphis, TN, Hattie Pearl Holmes (Johnny) Earle AK, 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, host of other relatives and friends.
His visitation will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2015, 9am- 11am, with the Homegoing Celebration commencing at 11am at Williams & Bluittt Funeral Home, Peoples Chapel. His burial will take place in Crown Hill Cemetery.
