His father, Harvey Mickens Sr, mother, Mildred Brown, wife Gail Ware- Mickens preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memory, brothers, Carl E. Mickens, Ronald G. Mickens, Arnold L. Mickens, Gerald T. Mickens, sisters, Synovia J. Vardiman, Pearline Harris and a host of extended family and friends.
His visitation will take place on Saturday, July 26, 2014, 9am- 11am, with the Homegoing Celebration commencing at 11am at Williams & Bluitt Funeral Home, Peoples Chapel. His burial will take Marion National Cemetery.
