Heather Michelle VanBuskirk, age 44, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Thursday February 28, 2019. Heather was born November 27, 1974 in Indianapolis, IN to Catherine L Mason and Michael D VanBuskirk.
Heather was a woman full of life and magnified the beauty she saw around her. Her love of family shown through the most as she always was there with a laugh and a smile that would light up any room. Heather was always a positive thinker, strong willed, gifted, talented, and her baking and cooking skills were the delight of everyone in the family. Heather was known for many things including her love of animals as she loved her cats as they were always a source of calm and comfort. Heather loved crafts, genealogy, her computer and the family of course loved her quirky way of finding special rocks every where she went by collecting some and bringing them home.
Someone once said "be your own kind of beautiful." Heather personified a beautiful woman by her unmitigated love, warmth, perseverance, kindness, humor, ingenuity, and wisdom. She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Heather is survived by; mother Catherine L Mason; sister Debbie Combs, brother David Bourne, sister Jennifer Bourne, brother Marty Mason, brother Eric Mason and brother Josh Mason; aunt Patricia Creek-Zickler, uncle Leo (Judy) Zickler and uncle Robert (Candace) Zickler.
Heather was preceded in death by; father Michael D VanBuskirk.
A gathering for Heather will be held Monday, March 4, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208. A funeral service will occur Monday, March 4, 2019 at 11:00 AM, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208. A burial will occur at Crown Hill Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208.
