Helen was born on April 11, 1951, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Willie Adams Sr. and Matlill Jones-Adams who also preceded her in death. She was raised in a loving family and grew up with a strong sense of faith.
Helen Mariea was the loving wife of James Daniel Hoskin, who also preceded her in death. Together they created a life dedicated to their family, and their home was always open to everyone who needed a place to hang out, or a hot meal.
Helen attended IPS schools and graduated from Arsenal Technical High School, she dedicated her life early to Christ and was baptized at Mount Vernon Missionary Baptist Church.
Helen worked for Xerox for over 20 years and later decided to open her own childcare business called 'All My Angels', where she spent over 10 years caring for children around the Indianapolis area. The children were not temporary kids she took care of, they became her own family she cared for, far beyond childcare age.
Throughout her life, Honey was a dedicated mother who always put her family first, especially her only daughter Krystal Lynn. Honey's unwavering love was a constant source of strength for Krystal. Honey also had an unbreakable bond with her only sister Brenda Fay who cared for her until she received her wings.
When Honey was not working, she loved to travel, go to the casino, her scratch-offs and shopping, where she was sure to find a good sale; but, her most favorite thing to do was spend time with her family and spoil her daughter. Honey had a remarkable sense of humor that was infectious to everyone she met. She had a unique ability to make people laugh and feel at ease, which endeared her to many. Even though she was little in size, she was feisty as a firecracker!
In addition to Honey's role as a wife, mother & sister, Honey was a devoted friend. She had a passion for helping others and was always willing to lend a listening ear or a helping hand to anyone in need. Her generous spirit and caring nature touched the lives of many, and her legacy of kindness and compassion will live on in the hearts of all those she touched.
Honey is survived by her loving daughter Krystal Lynn Coleman, and her amazing sister Brenda Fay Adams-Alexander (Marvin), nephew Larry Sr. and great nephew Larry Jr "Bear", and aunt Fay Walker. She was preceded in death by her husband James Daniel Hoskin, mother and father Willie Adams Sr. and Matlill Jones-Adams, and her brother Willie (Billy) Adams Jr.
Honey also cherisher her relationships with a host of family, cousins, and friends.
Honey, you will be deeply missed by all who knew you.
