

Born on May 20th, 1954, to A.V. and Margaret Willis. Helen married Sylvester Berry Sr., and they had four children together. She worked two jobs most of her life to help take care of her family.
Helen was a woman of strong faith who always reminded her kids that, “God would take care of everything,” a message she held to her last moments on earth. She was also very passionate about cooking. She loved to cook for her family but also loved taking everyone out to eat as well. Her favorite food was fried catfish. In her final years, she loved to watch and laugh at TikTok videos.
Helen is survived by her son Sylvester Berry Jr (Kathy) of Washington, IN, sisters; Mildred Eady of Peoria, IL, Mildred Ann Johnson of Hickman, KY. Her grandkids Kimber Swain and Dylan Berry of Indianapolis, IN, and Davlen Swain and Marlaysia Lamb of Toledo, OH, and India Smith of Nashville, TN; and great grandchildren, Kamyron Swain of Fort Wayne, IN, and Milan Watkins of Indianapolis, IN. She is also remembered by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. In addition, she is survived by five step grandchildren, and four step great grandchildren of Washington, IN.
Helen is proceeded in death by her parents, A.V. and Margaret Willis of Hickman, KY; her children, India, Charles, and Angie Berry of Princeton, IN; and siblings, Donald Rice of Hickman, KY, June Rice of South Fulton, TN, and Jackie Willis of Paducah, KY.
A memorial for Helen will be held on Friday, September 26th, 2025, at United Presbyterian Church, 130 E State St. Princeton, IN. Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. (CST), with the service beginning at 2 p.m.
