Helen Louise Hadley

Helen L. Hadley 84, of Indianapolis, passed away in her home on March 31, 2011. She was born September 27, 1926 in Smiths Grove, Kentucky to Mildred Wright Patterson and Floyd Robert Patterson. She made her home in Greenwood, Indiana until her recent move to Indianapolis. Helen was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Melvin M. Hadley, who died January 29, 2009. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Linda Hadley Miller on January 15, 2010.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen McGuiness and one brother, Ronald Patterson. Also surviving are grandchildren Kevin Lawrence, Melissa Lawrence, Nicole James, Alyson Zelencik, and seven great-grandchildren: Nicholas and Haley Lawrence, Savannah and Braelyn Lawrence, Luca and Adrianna James, and Cason Zelencik.

Services will be held at Crown Hill in the Gothic Chapel inside the 34th Street Main Gate. Visitation is Wednesday April 6, 2011 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and services follow at 1:00 p.m. Entombment will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in the Field of Valor.
