American Village. She was born on August 19, 1923 in Paris, KY, to the late Louise Bedinger and William Washington. Helen was a graduate of Crispus Attucks High School. Helen was an Army Veteran of World War II. Helen retired from DFAS (Army Finance Center) in the early 90's, with over 20 years of service.
Helen is survived by her children, Rochelle L. Owens, Patti L. Owens, and Dagmar L. Owens-Donald; Grandchildren Hope L. Spivey, Mundi R. Owens-Hunt, and Harold Donald III; Great grandsons Christian A. Fisher and Peyton S. Spivey.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Marion Owens Jr. and all of her siblings.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 9:00AM until time of service at 11:00 AM in Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 West 38th St., Indianapolis.
