

HERMAN was born on October 23, 1950 in Indianapo-lis, IN to his parents Herman and Elnora Fant.
He attended Public School in Indianapolis and graduat-ed from Arsenal Technical High School in 1968 where he also received a Vocational Certificate and played Reserve and Varsity Football. After graduation he was employed at Indianapolis Power and Light, Imperial Packing and Allison Transmission for 44 years and re-tired in 2018. HERMAN accepted Christ and was baptized at Eastern Star Church.
HERMAN enjoyed spending time with his family. Some of Herman's hobbies were bowling and playing cards. Herman was a snazzy dresser. He and his dear friend Tyree Jointer had many shopping excursions to Chicago and Cincinnati to name a few. Many memorable experi-ences were shared by his dear friends Donald Rowie (Popeye), Vernice Marshall and Tyree. Herman and his nephew Steve enjoyed tinkering with various projects . Herman liked to travel with his sweetie Valerie. On the weekends, Herman would get dressed, then head East to spend time with his Sister-in-Law Betty and cousin Reginald they would sit on the porch laughing and talk-ing all day. Herman loved banana pudding and Stehanie and Felice made it for him on special occasions. Every-one will miss his smile.
HERMAN was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Elnora Fant as well as his brother Harold Guynn.
HERMAN leaves to cherish his memories: Daughter: Leah Harvey, Son: Herman Fant III (Sherri), Grandchildren: Harvey, Danielle, Herman IV, Michael, Leah and Harmony, Great-grandchildren, Rashad, Alijah, Ramirez, Izaiah, and Michael, a very special sister-in-law, Betty Guynn, and as Herman would say my sweetie Valerie Miller and a host of other relatives and friends.
HERMAN was a kind and helpful person who shared his life with others and will be greatly missed.
