Hystine married Varnador Luckett and worked for Erbrick Packing Company, and Auntie Mame’s Child Development Center in her younger years.
Hystine was a member of Little Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, where she was awarded an award only two months ago for her faithful services.
Hystine is preceded in death by her parents, sons Clenter Douglass, Russell Luckett, daughters, Peggie Smith, Vernita Luckett.
Hystine Luckett passed away on May 9, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones, her memories and
legacy will live on through her children, Michell Parrish, Varnador Luckett and Lizzett Courtney, 15 grandchildren and a host of great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
A visitation for Hystine will be held Saturday, May 24, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Little Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 3276 Winthrop Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46205, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM.
