Jack Calvert Murphy, Jr. born September 22, 1948 passed on May 22, 2010 after a lengthy illness. Prececing him in death were his parents Jack C. Murphy, Sr. and E. Marjie Murphy of Jonesboro, IN, as well younger sisters Jean Runnels of Newport News, VA and Jane Hillers of Dundee, FL.
Jack is survived by his wife Allison K. Murphy and daughters Sommer Hatton of Speedway and Heather Belton of Fishers, IN, son Richard (Richie) Lee (Murphy) Marroni of Marion, lN. Also surviving are his siblings, Vickie Sue Applegate and Gregory Murphy of Marion, IN, and Patricia Taylor of Frederickburg, VA, as well as his best friend Steve Ellis of KY and co-workers at Harlan Baker.
Jack graduated from Mississinewa High School in 1966. He served his country with pride in the U.S. Army directly after graduating from high school, including two tours of Vietnam.
