

Mr. Jamaal A. Herring, son of Rosa Michelle Lloyd and Richard Conley, was born March 2, 1990 in Indianapolis, IN.
He attended elementary and middle school in Washington Township and was a graduate of Lawrence Central High School. He participated in multiple sports while at Lawrence Central including quarterback and running back for the football team, basketball and track. Jamaal went on to attend Thomas More University where he continued to play football.
Jamaal professed his faith in Jesus Christ at an early age and was baptized at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Junior Usher.
Jamaal enlisted in the United States Army and served for 2 ½ years. He received the honors of National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and Army Service Ribbon.
Jamaal worked at various jobs after his return home and greatly enjoyed his time as a member of the Warren Central High School coaching staff during the 2018 season. Jamaal was employed at Frito-Lay at the time of his death.
He began his entrepreneurial endeavors last year with the formation of RedDog Power Washing, LLC.
Jamaal was blessed with his beautiful daughter Marlee Rhea in 2019. He truly loved on her and enjoyed being her dad. He was awesome at it.
Jamaal always made people feel special with his infectious smile. He enjoyed making others laugh by telling a joke especially when the mood needed to be lightened. He enjoyed playing sports and continued to be active in a Flag Football league.
Jamaal was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Leroy and Mary Pollard, John Lloyd Sr.
Jamaal departed this life on the 29th day of February, 2024 at the age of 33 years 27 days.
His beautiful life and memory will forever be cherished by his mother Rosa Michelle; step-father Ronnie Lloyd; daughter Marlee Rhea and her mother Adrian; brother Leandre (Jasmine); sister Claudia; grandmother Becky Lloyd; uncles Roderick (Shawna) Herring, Harold (Lisa) Lloyd, John (Diana) Lloyd; aunts Marlana Herring, Kerra (Khalid) Karim, Karana (Rudolph) Fairley, Ladana (Charles) Miles, Kelly (Russ) Hubler; devoted cousins Shavon, Brandon (Jasmine), Khamaree (Viesha), Khevon (Jenn), Jazmine, Ayana, Amani, Tye, Broderick, Sanaa, Benjamin; a host of great-uncles and great-aunts, other cousins, extended family and friends; special friends Tia and Kamilah.
A visitation for Jamaal will be held Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Williams & Bluitt Funeral Home Peoples' Chapel, 5252 East 38th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
