James W Grannan

James W. Grannan, age 88, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. He was born on March 13, 1935 to Victor Grannan and Augusta (Riney) Grannan. James attended Cathedral High School, graduating in 1953 and went on to marry the love of his life, Jeanette A. Bullock on December 28, 1957 at All Saints Catholic Church in Cannelburg, Indiana. James went on to serve for the U.S. Army in 1957 until 1959 and then returned to duty in 1962. He then returned home to obtain his degree in Data Processing. James went on to work at Mayflower for 40 years before retiring in 1997.

James is preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Augusta Grannan; brothers, Elbert, Charles, Anthony, Raymond, and Paul; sister, Catherine McCleary; and son, Jeffery Grannan.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette (Bullock) Grannan; daughter, Jealyn Verhines (Michael); daughter-in-law, Delilah Grannan; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on December 27, 2023 from 10am to 12pm at Nativity Catholic Church,7225 Southeastern Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46239. A Mass is to follow. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
