He was employed at Kingham-Hygrade Meat Co. for 20 years and Detroit Diesel Allisons for 25 years. He was a member of New Light Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, trustee and teacher for over 60 years.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma Lee Garrett Green, daughters, Patricia A. Green, Dorothy J. Price (Johnnie), son, Nathaniel Green (Vanessa), brother, Jim Green, 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Services will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2010, 12 Noon at New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 2525 West 11th Street. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2010 from 10 A.M. until the time of service at the church. Burial in Crown Hill Cemetery.
