James L. Noakes Jr. 67, passed away peacefully Saturday September 25, 2010 in Noblesville, IN. He was born in Gallatin, TN, to the late James, Sr. and Mattie "Louise" Noakes. James was an avid fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Betty; children, Wendy (Mark) Reed, Angela (Ernie) Ford, Michele (Todd) Taylor, Penny (Michael) Thomas, step-daughters, Linda Powell and Gail Cope; 15 grandchildren and a great-grand-daughter; sisters, Cathern (Lowell) Swartzendruber, Janice Smith, Lola (Ed) Short, Carol (Jerry) Meredith, and Betty Basey. James was also preceded in death by brother, Robert Noakes; brothers-in-law, James Smith and Jack Bassey and nephew, Chad Meredith. Friends may call at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 4901 E. Stop 11 Rd.
