Jerri grew up in Sturgis, Michigan, finally landing in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, where she attended Ivy Tech College School of Nursing. She dedicated her career to caring for the elderly and disabled.
Jerri cherished being a mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend but above all, could never have loved anyone more than her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her "baby brother" Robin Barnes, as well as her parents Eugene and Barbara Barnes. Jerri is survived by daughters, Misty Coburn and Mandi Everage; grandchildren, Christian Adamski, Caleb Bayne (Mariah Edmonds), Austin (Toya) Everage, Dustin Everage (Taytum Hargrave) and Hannah Sizemore; great grandchildren, Leonna, Xander, Lorelai, Maslyn and Everlee; and brothers, Steven Barnes and Kim (Diane) Barnes.
She will be remembered for her warmth, amazing hugs, legendary cooking and infectious smile. Her legacy is one of unconditional love, resilience and kindness that will continue to inspire.
