Joan Hardy

Joan Hardy, 84, died Saturday, June 24, 2017 at her home. She was born October 30, 1932 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Denver Parke and Sarah Kathryn (Peacock) Parke Armstrong. She is also preceded in death by her son, Robert Paul Ryan and grandchildren, Tonya D. Monet and Thomas Wayne Joerendt. She and her husband enjoyed golfing and bowling in their younger years. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting and will be remembered for always doing the difficult puzzles and crosswords.

She is survived by her husband, Freeman Joseph Hardy; daughters, Kathryn Brown (Larry), Glenda Dee Weston (Santiago Portell), and Linda Lee Portell; grandchildren, Robert Joseph, Michael Lee, Yvonne, William, Angela, April, Bobbie, and JoAnna; great grandchildren, Ashley, BJ, Dale, Christa, Kayla, Dezarie, Thomas, Gage, Maddie, Bailey, Tyler, Logan, Alivia, Jordan, Aaron, Ian, Zoe, Tanner, Kaylin ,Taylor and Jayden; and great- great grandchildren Kamerine,Sereaphina,Avalene and Brantley.

Visitation will be 10 am to 11 am Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Family Funeral Care, 5791 Rockville Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46224. At time of sharing will begin at 11 am Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Oaklawn Memorial Cemetery in Indianapolis.
