Jodi graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. degree from the University of Indianapolis and a Master’s Degree in Music Performance from Butler University. She was formerly employed as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Indianapolis and IUPUI and taught private students of all ages. She often performed on flute as a soloist and in groups of musicians.
Jodi is survived by her former husband, Greg Smith, daughter, Alyssa Smith, her son, Nathan Smith, brother William Sowers, and her parents, Edward and Margaret Sowers.
Cremation arrangements are being handled by Little and Sons Funeral Home - Indianapolis.
