Joe T. Beal

Joe Thomas Beal, 80, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, December 8, 2017. He was born March 19, 1937 in Milan, Tennessee to the late Joe E. and Lou Elzie (Collins) Beal. Joe was a long-time member of Gospel Assembly Church and retired from Ford after 45 years of service. He also worked 16 years during tax season at HR Block after taking correspondence courses for accounting. He enjoyed collecting things like stamps, movies, and coins. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing, and doing puzzles, especially crosswords. Joe loved to tell jokes and stories as he used them to bring light to whoever he would come across. He was a hard-working and faith filled, family man.

He is survived by his children, Shelly René Johnson (Pete), Max Beal (Sophia), Joe Beal II, and Tenneva McKnight; sister, Linda Lou Walker; grandchildren, Calvin Wilson, Amber Harris (Charles), Samantha Wilson, Jacob Johnson (Hilarie), Paul Johnson, Charles Bellamey, Alyssa Beal, Tyler Beal, and Silas McKnight; great grandchildren, Alaina Ryan-Meredith, Royce Harris, Vincent Harris, and Charlotte Johnson; and granddog Saffron.

Visitation will be 4-8pm Thursday, December 14 at Little and Sons Funeral Home, 4901 E Stop 11 Rd. Indianapolis, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Friday, December 15 at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Washington Park East.
