To The Brown Family:
You have our condolences. We pray that The Holy Spirit comforts you during this difficult time. Know that God is God. God will take care of you.

From: Bonnie and Classmates of James Brown, Joe’s brother.
From The Class of 1969, East Scott High School, Lake, Mississippi.

Uncle Joe,

You were truly one of a kind. My favorite uncle in every sense of the word. You were steady, loving, wise, and strong—the kind of man everyone looked up to without question. Your presence alone made people feel safe and seen.

You loved my children—your great-great nieces and nephews—so deeply, and that love will live on through them. They may not yet understand the magnitude of who you were, but they will grow up hearing your name spoken with pride, admiration, and love.

To my Aunt Shirley, my cousins, and our entire family—my heart wraps around you. There are no words big enough for this kind of loss, but I pray you feel surrounded by love, comfort, and God’s peace during this time. Uncle Joe’s legacy lives on through each of you—in your strength, your kindness, and the way you carry yourselves.

To his brothers, James (my grandpa) and Uncle Are Clarence—may God hold you especially close. The bond between brothers is sacred, and I pray for comfort, strength, and peace as you grieve someone so deeply loved.

We lift our family up in prayer, asking God to wrap us in His arms, to give us rest when the grief feels heavy, and to remind us that love never ends—it only changes form.

Uncle Joe, thank you for being you. Thank you for your love, your guidance, and your heart. You will always be remembered, always be honored, and always be loved.

Forever in our hearts 🤍
