Joe Allen Smith was born to John Smith and Viehelen Fisher. He professed hope in our lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Campbellsville, KY. He attended Durham High School and graduated in 1954, shortly afterward he moved to Indianapolis, IN.
Joe married Carolyn Hawkins two children were born into this union, along with two other children by other acquaintances. Joe worked at Ford motor company until his retirement.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents and three children Joe Jr., Reginald and Angel. Two siblings Thomas(Buddy) and Diane Smith.
Joe survived by one sister Helen (Josh) McKay of Lebanon KY. One Daughter Michelle Smith, six grandchildren Bentley (Ashley) Smith, Dexter (Toni) Smith, Christina (Justin) Tumblin, Rashonda (Bryant) Miller, Reggie Smith and Keesha Smith. Seventeen great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
