Obituary of John Lee Baynes II
We are gathered here today to honor the memory of John Lee Baynes II so that we may acknowledge and share in the joy and gift of his life and in so sharing, we lessen the pain and remember more clearly the unforgettable man. John passed away at his home in Indianapolis, Indiana on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at the age of 62. John was preceded in death by his parents, Rosia Baynes and John Lee Baynes Sr. as well as his sister, Marilyn Baynes. John was survived by a host of family and friends: step-son Brian Brown, sister Leslie Baynes Pierce, brothers Stephen Baynes and Mark Baynes, nieces, nephews and many, many loving relatives and friends. John was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and graduated from North Central High School in 1977. He enjoyed working for Firestone Tire and Rubber in Noblesville for several years. John loved sports, especially the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers and treasured time with love ones both far and near. John was very close to his family and friends and his beloved dogs. He was a man with many stories to tell and much advice to give to everyone, for our good. John loved to love. Rarely did he miss opportunities to express his love in words or in deeds. He loved to laugh, joke and debate until you agreed he was right or you simply gave up. John was devoted to his family and the many traditions honored throughout each year from the July 4th Chilton Family Reunion to the Fall Camping trip to the most honored Christmas Breakfast, started by his Mother, Aunts and Uncles more than fifty years ago. John's friends were also his family with many friendships spanning over five decades. Many were the parties and Get Togethers held to celebrate birthday's and holiday's and any given day. John enjoyed life and vowed to live it 'His way' 'til the end. And that he did! Bless you John Baynes. We love you, Loving Family and Friends
