I am very sorry to hear that John has passed. I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Vanessa for the past 20 years. Although I never met John in person I know he was a wonderful man, husband, father, grandfather. Vanessa and I have talked many times over the years and my heart is breaking for her. I am sending my prayers and condolences to Vanessa and the whole family. God Bless you all, Fly High John!

Though I haven't seen the family in over 30 years, I have lots of memories of them from my childhood. John and Vanessa were always very kind to me, and even trusted me to watch their daughter, even though I was only 2 years older than her. My condolences Vanessa and Lisa.

John and Vanessa were always kind and supportive to everyone. John always had a smile and a hug or handshake. As a child I remember going to their house after going to the double feature at the drive in and swimming with Lisa. John was always happy to see all of us and didn't care that we stayed in the pool till the wee hours of the morning. John was strong, loving, and smiled whenever he came across family no matter how bad he felt. John will be missed deeply.
