79, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, July 5, 2013. He was born February 10, 1934 in Indianapolis to the late James and Elsie Petty. John retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield as mailroom supervisor after 25 years of service. He was a member of the Christian Park Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. John is survived by his sons, John (Nancy) Petty, Jr. and Steve (Sue) Petty; sister, Phyllis (Joe) Hart; grandchildren, Michael (Laurel) Petty, Anthony Petty, Shawn (Tianna) Petty, Kathryn Petty, Steven (Morgan) Petty, and Heather Petty; and great granddaughters, Ashley Petty and Helaina Petty. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 10, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 4901 E. Stop 11 Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46237, where the funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m. A private burial service will follow at New Crown Cemetery.
