Joseph John “Joe” Pendick, Jr., Indianapolis, 72, passed away, Sunday, December 9, 2018 surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born October 6, 1946 in Newark, New Jersey to the late Joseph John Pendick Sr. and Genevieve (Enick) Pendick. Joe is also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Joe Yerkovich. He was retired from General Motors after 39 years of service. He was also a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Joe was an avid bowler, enjoyed golfing, and loved to play cards, especially with his grandsons.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Cheryl (Wilder) Pendick; children, Mary (Brian), JJ (Jodi), Gary (Angie) and Terri; sisters, Joanne Rugg (Mel) and Gloria Yerkovich; 6 grandchildren, Aaron, Ryan, Katie, Mitch, Curt and Josh; and many extended family members and friends.
Memorial Visitation will be Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 9am to 12pm at St. Jude Catholic Church, 5353 McFarland Rd., Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. His Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12pm at the church. He will be laid to rest at a later date at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to: St. Jude Catholic Church, 5353 McFarland Rd., Indianapolis, Indiana 46227.
