Joseph George Quintana

Joseph “Joe” Quintana, born June 2, 1948, to Arline and Joseph Quintana, grew up in Bethpage, New York, where he faithfully attended Catholic church and school and developed a deep love for the water. Growing up on Long Island is where his passion for boating, waterskiing, scuba diving, snorkeling—and Billy Joel—first began.

Joe proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era. After completing his service, he eventually moved to Indiana, where he raised his two children with his former wife. He shared his love of the water and boating with his children and encouraged their sense of adventure. Joe also enjoyed many hobbies on land, including theatre, cycling, bowling, and, in his younger years, roller skating.

Joe had a remarkable gift for bringing people together. A natural storyteller with a quick wit and booming laugh, he was often the life of the party—lighting up every gathering with his humor, energy, and larger than life presence. Whether he was sharing a tale from his Navy days, recounting an adventure on the water, or simply making someone feel welcome, Joe had a way of making moments memorable.

Joe was a faithful and devoted Christian. After meeting and falling in love with his devoted wife, Mae, the two embarked together on a lifetime of ministry—serving others, sharing their faith, and building a life rooted in love, compassion, and purpose.

Joe is survived by his wife, Mae; his daughter, Natalie (Ted), and his grandsons, Owen and Colin; his son, Andrew; his sister, Ann (John); his niece, Bridget (Bryan); and his nephews, Sean (Rachel), Jason, and Dylan.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Arlene and Joseph; his brother, Michael; and his son, Anthony.

Joe will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his joyful spirit, steadfast faith, and the love he shared so freely with those around him.

A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 W. 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208, on April 18, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
