Joyce Durham

Joyce Ann Durham, age 67, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Matthew and Telester Smiley. She attended Indiana Public School System and later obtained her GED. She was fondly known as "Mama Joyce" and "Ms. Peaches", she was a Jack of all trades and a Master of none (is what she'd say). Joyce enjoyed cooking, dancing, gardening, and being around her family and friends. You could always come and eat at her home (as longs as you put in some work), "if you don't work you don't eat"! She attended St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church under Rev. Charles Walters. Sr. for many years. Joyce leaves to cherish her memory, daughters; Nokisha (Dexter) Hardy-Carter, Camille Hardy, a son; William Wilson, and her niece Kiya Smiley and nephew George P Smiley both of whom she help raised as her own, brothers; Anthony (Martha) Crenshaw, Matthew (Ruth) Smiley Jr., and George Smiley and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Anita Tharpe, Diane Smiley.
