

On July 11, 2021, the world lost one of the kindest and most loving souls. Joyce Ann Harrison loud voice, sparkling eyes, contagious smile, and joyful heart is now resting peaceful with the lord. Joyce A. Harrison, the daughter of Roger A. Patterson and Norma Mae Patterson was born on September 18, 1944, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Joyce was educated in the Indianapolis Public School System. She attended IPS 69 and Arsenal Technical High School. She was employed as a Manager of Health and Beauty for the Kroger Company for over 30 years.
Joyce was united in Holy Matrimony to James A. “Tony” Harrison on February 10, 1979. They have enjoyed 12 years of courtship and 42 years of marriage for a total of 54 years.
Joyce was the glue for her family, an avid shopper, enjoyed traveling, Cowboy and Hallmark movies, and a connoisseur of denim dresses and fine wigs. She was a true blessing, a role model for many, one who always showed compassion, strength, and a selfless love for others. Joyce was truly an incredible woman who lived by the scripture Psalm 23:1 “The Lord is my shepherd: I shall not want.”
Joyce A. Harrison went home to be with Lord on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at the age of 76 years, 10 months, and 11 days. Her Father Roger A. Patterson; Sisters Mary and Candy Patterson; Brothers Norman and Paul Patterson, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her devoted and loving Husband, James A. “Tony” Harrison, Sons Clinton Jackson (Venae Fowler-Jackson), Anthony J. Harrison (Anita Enz-Harrison), Mother Norma Mae Patterson, Sisters Beverly S. Jackson and Rita J. Patterson; Brothers Roger A. Patterson, Jr. (Josephine) and Mark A. Patterson (Paula); Grandchildren Clinton Jackson Jr. Bri-ahn Jones-Jackson, Jalen Jones, Jordan Harrison, Cameron Harrison, Azara Jackson, Kevin Lamar Jackson; Great-grandchildren Nour Al Assaadi, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, the New Life Worship Center and Living Water Fellowship Church family, friends and neighbors.
