

Judith Anne Douglas (Clark) was born December 5, 1949 in Dayton, OH to Frederick Douglas Clark and Helen Doris Clark (Anderson). She was a graduate of Roosevelt High School, class of 1968, and a graduate of Sinclair Community College, 1970 in Dayton, OH. She relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1974. Judy was married to Calvin Douglas on April 17, 1976 and to this union two children were born.
Judy was baptized at an early age and continued her love for God throughout her adult life. She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary at Greater St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church and President of the Usher Board. In her spare-time she was an avid reader, loved traveling, and creating good memories with close family and special friends.
Judy was the survivor of a kidney transplant for over 15yrs and remained dedicated to encouraging others to give the gift of life and be an organ donor. She retired from AT&T in 2009 after 25 years of service and she was a recent retiree from Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield after 11 years of employment.
Judy was a strong leader who always spoke the truth and gave great advice. She was a trusted decision maker that gave it to you straight. She was clear in what needed to be said even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear, and she did so with care. She was a woman with class who was loved and well respected by all who knew her.
Judith Anne Douglas departed this life on Wednesday, December 23, 2020. She was preceded in death by her father, Frederick Douglas Clark Sr., her mother, Helen Doris Clark (Anderson), and her sister, Margaret Rainey (Clark). She leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted husband of over 44 years, Calvin Douglas Sr; son, Calvin Douglas Jr; daughter, Tamara Harper (Alex); granddaughter, Amara Harper; Godchildren, Eddie Turner (Adrean), Kristen Turner; siblings, Fred Jr. (Susan) Clark, Helen (Tyler) Ray, Edward Sr. (Romon) Clark, Ernest Clark, Pamela (Roderick Sr.) Harris, Kevin (Heidi) Clark; Best friends, Gwen Carlton, Lucille Robinson, Loretta Woods; a host of loving nieces, nephews, in-laws, and many more relatives and friends.
