Kathryn Mary Brown

Departed this life Saturday, November 5, 2016. Kathryn was born March 26, 1922 in Chicago to the late Eberhard and Verena (Brefeld) Dietz. She worked for Western Electric for 20 years as a secretary. Through her entire life, she dedicated herself to her faith and family. She was a former member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church and St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Kathryn was currently a member of Holy Spirit at Geist where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Altar Society. She was lovingly devoted to her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in her retirement. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Martin J. Brown. Kathryn is survived by her loving daughters, Susie (Larry) O'Brien, Karen (Ken) Pennington, Rena Becher (Bob)Scott and Beth (Joe) Becher; brother, Bill Dietz; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 19th at St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
