

Kathy attended elementary school at James Whitcomb Riley school #43 in the Butler Tarkington neighborhood where the family grew up. Kathy attended Broad Ripple High School and graduated in 1980.
Kathy’s educational background and passion for people guided her in the direction to start her career as a Welfare Benefits Coordinator with the Department of Indianapolis Human Services where she worked for several years.
Kathy loved and adored her family, especially her two daughters Raven and Reva Cole. “Mama’s Girls”.
Kathy married Rodgers Yarbrough in 2007 a “Big Rig Truck Driver” they became business partners, lovers and friends.
Kathy was the delivery route manager, load dispatch operator and business accountant. Together they traveled the world delivering military families most prize positions that had been relocated.
Kathy loved to see people smiling, happy, peaceful, vibrant, full of life, an all-around loving genuine person.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents Jean and Earl Wilson. Kathy leaves to cherish her memory her husband Rodger Yarbrough, her daughters Raven and Reva Cole, her sisters Patrice Hawthorne, Janice (Willie) Loyal, Terry Leake, and Karen (John) Finney; 7 grandchildren, a Bonus daughter Rebbie Yarbrough and a Bonus son Jason Breckenridge. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends and loved ones.
A memorial service for Kathy will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208.
