

Keith Leonardo Jennings was born on January 11, 1956, in South Bend, Indiana. He was the son of the late Ida B. Jennings-Newborne and the late Ricky Boxley and was raised by his grandmother, the late Dora Lottie.
Keith received his early and high school education in South Bend, IN. He professed a hope in Christ at an early age, and was baptized at Saints Memorial Church of God in Christ, South Bend, IN.
Keith was united in marriage to Patricia A. Richardson on September 4, 2004, and together they are parents to five children.
Keith held several positions. He worked for AM General and Neenah Foundry in South Bend, IN, before entering the United States Military Army Branch in April of 1979. While in the military, he received many decorations, medals, badges and was awarded many campaign ribbons. He received Army Commendation (30LC), Army Achievement Medal (JOLC), Good Conduct Medal (4th Award), National Defense Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer, Professional Development Ribbon (3), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (2), Expert Qualification Badge (Rifle M16), Expert Qualification Badge (Hand Grenade). Keith received an honorable discharge in September of 1993, and he retired with the rank of Sargent First Class. After the military, Keith began working for the United States Postal Service in Garland, TX and later relocated to Indianapolis, IN, working for the Postal Service until his disability.
Keith loved traveling, watching sports, going to the casino, and spending time with family and friends.
Keith fought a good fight; he held on and kept the faith. Then, on Wednesday March 26, 2025, at 1:58 AM, at the age of 69 years, 2 months, 15 days, Keith L. Jennings finished the race. He transitioned to be with our Lord and move to his new home.
Keith leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife Patricia A. Jennings; three daughters, TaLisha M. Richardson (Norman), Rocha M. Jennings-Holland (Jamar), Moneca T. Richardson (Jason); two sons, Tiwan L. Jennings, Keith A. Jennings; four sisters, Movita Stewart, Gay Smith, Desiree Colman-Henderson, Zelma L. Newborne; two special sisters/cousins, Octavia Chandler, Rhonda Mitchem; four brothers, Barry R. Coleman, Eric S. Coleman (Robin), Todd S. Coleman (Stefanie), Carl R. Newborne; 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
A visitation for Keith will be held Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 1301 N Goodlet Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46222, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM.
