Born on November 17, 1987, Kourtney lived life with a sharp wit, quick sense of humor, and a heart far bigger than she often let on. She was intelligent, fiercely loyal, unapologetically herself, and known for her honesty, directness, and ability to make people laugh when they least expected it.
From the very beginning, Kourtney had an extraordinary love for animals. As a toddler, she frequently pretended to be a puppy and was already trying to rescue every creature she found. That compassion remained with her throughout her life. She cared for countless animals, especially her beloved poodles, who were never just pets—they were family.
Kourtney also loved movies, particularly Jurassic Park. She was passionate about music, especially 2000s punk, and loved attending concerts with family and friends.
Kourtney is survived by her loving parents, Vern and Patty Roach and Ralph Knieper; her sisters, Kellie (Ryan Hiatt) and Dori (John Miller); her cherished nephews and niece, Dale, Duke, Joseph, Zachary, and Julia; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and loved ones who will miss her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dick and Ellie McCalley and Joly Bixler, and her cousin, Patrick McCalley.
Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, her family finds comfort in the memories she created, the laughter she shared, and the love she gave.
A calling will be held on Monday September 14, 2026 from 4-7:30pm followed by a time of remembrance at 7:30pm. Both will be held at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to Patrick's Project or donation to your local humane society.
