Lawrence G. Bonnafon

Lawrence G. Bonnafon, 79, Kokomo, Indiana passed away on January 10, 2016.His parents Edward and Lottie Bonnafon, brother, Edward Bonnafon Jr and Daisy Bonnafon preceded him in death.Lawrence also known as Larry attended Saint Augustine High School in New Orleans. Soon after graduation he enlisted and served in the United States Air Force for 4 yrs from 1960-1964 with a honorable discharge. His last years of service landed him at Grissom Air Force Base in which he met and married Daisy Meriwether Bonnafon of 27 years. Lawrence took up employment with Chrysler Corporation completing 30 years of service. He was a Carpenter with Chrysler from 1977 retiring in 1993. During his retirement he worked for Green Acres Golf Course and Enterprise Rent-A-Car.Lawrence grew up Lutheran and Catholic going on later to accept Jesus Christ at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church where he was baptized.Lawrence is survived by two daughters, Marisa Bonnafon (Willie), of Kokomo, Michelle Bonnafon (Kenny) of Kokomo, step-son, Juan Dino Fears (Gina) Of Indianapolis, 8 grandchildren, 1 greatgrandchild, sister-in-law, Justina Bonnafon, special friend, Marcia Walker, host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.His visitation will take place on Saturday, January 16, 2016, 9am-11am, with the Homegoing Celebration commencing at 11am at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church. His burial will take place in Sunset Memory Gardens.
